LIONS CLUB OF T.NAGAR

Admin & Activities report for the month of NOVEMBER 2009

On behalf of our President MJF Ln.K.Ravikumar and members of our L/C OF T.Nagar, I have pleasure in submitting our projects in detail.

Board Meeting:

Focus on the general Admn. and Activities of our Club. Decided at large to raise funds through Members' full participation individually to gallop funds for our Hospital. Each member around Rs.5000 to max. to their referrals and contacts.

Date: 10th Nov 2009
Time : 7 pm.
No of participants : 20
Venue : No.7, Sarathy Street, T.Nagar. (Ln.Sampathkumar's residence)

Regular Meeting:

Childrens Day : The day was marked with great festivity and innovation by the members and children in their own respect and style. We had a party time all through the day and we organised a number of variety shows and cultural programmes throughout the day with special emphasis on environment. The other events like swimming, dance, fun games, folk and fusion were also appreciated for their qualitative presentation. Also the group dance was zestful and energetic which received appreciation from everyone.

Second Meeting:

Cultural Meet at Valluvar Kottam, We had registered the maximum persons required for a regular Meeting.

No of participants : 30% of the club.
Venue : Valluvar Kottam, Chennai.

ACTIVITIES

Eye Screening Camp

An effective Eye Screening Camp conducted at MGR Nagar.

Date: 1st Nov 2009
Between : 9AM to 2PM
Cost : Rs.8500/- Thousands.
No of Beneficiaries : Screened : 160, Cataract : 6, Spects : 18.
Venue : Annai Velankanni Matriculation School, Zahir Hussain St, MGR Nagar, Chennai.

Blood Donation Camp

Blood Donation Camp organised neatly and collected 20 units of Blood and handed safe to Lions Blood Bank, Egmore, Chennai.

Date: 13th Nov 2009
Benefit : 20 units blood.
Venue : M/s. Apollo DKV Insurance Company.

An Other Eye Camp

We have conducted an other successful eye screening camp organized jointly with Lions Club of Kovur, a Club in District 324 A6, Total cost is shared between the clubs of Lions Club of T Nagar and Lions Club of Kovur.

Cost : Rs.15000/-
No of Beneficiaries : Screened : 97, Cataract – 17, Spects : 50.
Venue : Govt. High School, Kovur – 602101.

In the “District Mega Service Project”

We have sponsored 2 tailoring machines to 2 widow poor ladies & 1 tailoring machine for our Adopted Corporation School Rangarajapuram, One tri cycle to a resident of Saidapet who is handicapped. Apart from this participation, our member Ln S Subramaniam had sponsored a Wheel Chair to a needy at Nungambakkam at a Cost of Rs.4000/-

Contributors to this Project are K.Ravikumar - Rs.3000, Dr SaradhaMani - Rs.3000, R Ravishankar - Rs.2500, N .Vijayakumar - Rs.500, V S Ravikumar - Rs.500, S M Sundaram - Rs.500, Dr MG Rajamanickam - Rs.500, Clubs Contribution - Rs.2000.
